About Us

Tap 2 Pointe, founded by Charlotte Martin, launched in 2016 in Motherwell as a follow on school from the established babyballet preschool.

After training at Manor School of Ballet in Edinburgh from the age of 3, Charlotte developed a love and passion for dance and learned various styles, tap, ballet, modern, highland and salsa to name a few.  Whilst Charlotte attended further education, she started to teach part time in a local babyballet franchise and fell in love. Charlotte believed that children should have the opportunity to turn dreams into reality and to be able to express themselves in a fun, safe and caring atmosphere, “every aspect of children development comes to life in a dance studio and it is fantastic to be a part of it.”

In 2013, she became the proud owner of babyballet Motherwell which over the next 3 years grew and whilst the magic spread the name of the school changed to include babyballet Motherwell, Baillieston & East Kilbride.

Whilst babyballet focuses on delivering classes to boys and girls aged 6 months - 6 years, in 2016 the first babyballet graduates due to turn 7 years asked to stay and Tap 2 Pointe was created!

Tap 2 Pointe began with two classes, tap and ballet and over the years the timetable has grown to include the ever popular highland dance and various styles.

In 2019, Tap 2 Pointe opened it's doors to T2P Studios and launched a second branch within Baillieston.
